Rhetorical Analysis Analysis Of Ekburg.ru s...
In order to have an interesting essay it is important to grab the attention of the audience. This semester I learned that audiences determine lots of parts an essay has. Mainly, rhetorical strategies are the easiest ways to grab the attention of audiences. Pathos, ethos, and logos are all strategies that appeal to different groups of people and different kinds of subjects. For example, in my essay Image Analysis of EKBURG.RUââ¬â¢s Advertisement ââ¬Å"Think of Both Sidesâ⬠I target my audience with appeals. Pathos is my main appeal. I hope to analyze the image, but also help the audience understand the deep meaning in this advertisement. I use a picture and facts to appeal to the emotions of the audience and grab their attention. My audience is targeted to people driving over the holiday and anyone with a child because that is the main focus of the analyzed ad. I also wrote in a very serious manner because this is a serious subject. Clearly, this audience is of an older age t o understand the meaning of my essay. Throughout my essays this semester I stick to a purpose and have always learned to direct my attention back to that purpose. In order to write with a purpose my purpose must be clear and explained throughout my essay. One way I make sure my purpose is clear is through a thesis sentence. I have learned how to properly create a thesis sentence through this course and to explain my thesis through steps in each paragraph, then sum it up at the end with a conclusion. For example, in

The Sonnet 19 When I Consider How My Light Is Spent By...
ââ¬Å"Sonnet 19: When I Consider how my light is Spentâ⬠by John Milton was published in 1654. The narrator closely connects with his inner religion to reassure himself that God doesnââ¬â¢t fault him for his disability. This poem is a Petrarchan Sonnet that consists of one stanza that has 14 lines, which are unequally divided by the first eight lines and the last six lines. Miller implements iambic pentameter throughout the poem and a basic rhyme scheme. In the beginning of the poem the narrator starts by focusing on the fact that heââ¬â¢s completely blind at a considerably young age. His main question is will God scold or punish him for not purposefully using a gift heââ¬â¢s been blessed with. The first eight lines create a tone of confusion and desperation to know the unknown, however the turn in the poem is constituted by ââ¬Å"Patienceâ⬠giving the narrator valid reasoning as to why he shouldnââ¬â¢t worry about something so insignificant, and the introduct ion of ââ¬Å"patienceâ⬠couples the narratorââ¬â¢s sense of confusion with certainty and calmness. His ââ¬Å"Patienceâ⬠reassures him that to be the best and utmost service to God and ââ¬Å"bear his mild yokeâ⬠he should be willing to just listen and follow (Milton 11). Milton, in ââ¬Å"When I consider how my light is spent,â⬠creates a difference in tone between the first eight lines and the last six lines by coupling the idea of dark vs. light diction with the idea of ambiguity vs. clarity to elaborate on the themes of religious conflict of the soul and shameful guilt.Show MoreRelatedStylistic Analysis10009 Words à |à 41 Pages ââ¬Å"The Song of Hiawathaâ⬠(Introduction)â⬠¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦Ã¢â¬ ¦...14-18 Chapter 2. Why do Companies Want to Acquire Other Businesses free essay sample
Many companies see buying ready made business as a way to minimize risk and reduce their rate of failure. Normally, the typical buyer knows its own market niche quite well, and can safely increase its revenues and market share over time by continual, careful attention to internal organic growth. Here are a few reasons to buy an existing business I can think of: 1. To Avoid the Risk Involved With Building a Business From Scratch. One of the most difficult things about starting a business is getting all of the systems in place. When you purchase an existing business, all of the systems are already going to be in place. If you are purchasing a successful business, you may not have to change much. You can simply adjust things occasionally in order to improve them. Furthermore, if you purchase an existing business, you will most likely have several employees already in place. We will write a custom essay sample on Why do Companies Want to Acquire Other Businesses? or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page This means that you will not have to train everyone you can bring in new people as you need to. 2. To Gain Access to New or Emerging Technologies The target may have an excellent product that the buyer can use to fill a hole in its own product line. I think this is an especially important reason when the market is expanding rapidly, and the buyer does not have sufficient time to develop the product internally before other competing products take over the market. Also, acquired products tend to have fewer bugs than ones just emerging from in-house development, since they have been through more field testing, and possibly through several build cycles. However, considerable additional effort may be needed to integrate the acquired products into the buyerââ¬â¢s product line, so factor this issue into the purchase decision. 3. To Strengthen the Companyââ¬â¢s Competitive Advantages Intellectual property is a defensible knowledge base that gives a company a competitive advantage, and is one of the best reasons to acquire a company. Intellectual property can include patents, trademarks, production processes, databases that are difficult to re-create, and research development labs with a history of successful product development. To Gain Market Share Companies generally strive toward a high market share, because this generally allows them to enjoy a cost advantage over their competitors, who must spread their overhead costs over smaller production volumes. The acquisition of a large competitor is a reasonable way to quickly attain significant market share. Also, if you are purchasing a well-known business, you are already going to have a customer base in place and the advantage of reputation. . To Gain New Distribution Channels A business can be bought to increase and improve the buyerââ¬â¢s distribution channels so that products can reach customers in less time. Therefore, a target may have an unusually effective sales channel that the buyer thinks it can use to distribute its own products. Examples of such sales channels are as varied as door-to-door sales, electronic downloads, telemarketing, or a well-trained in-house sales staff.

Basquiat Essay, Research Paper In the 1980 # 8217 ; s art hood motion, the lone thing the market liked better than a hot immature creative person was a dead hot immature creative person, and it got one in Jean-Michel Basquiat, whose working life of about nine old ages was truncated by a diacetylmorphine overdose at the age of 27. His calling, both existent and posthumous, appealed to a bunch of toxic coarsenesss. The creative person was instinctual, person outside mainstream civilization and hence non to be rated in its footings: a wild pet for the late cultivated aggregator. Jean Michell Basquiat was so a great creative person, nevertheless he was non meant to be a famous person. His pictures held bold shots of beautiful colorss over cheapjack canvass painted with rage and distemper. While some may reason that the pictures of Jean-Michel Basquiat are deceivingly simple many say they are sloppy plants covered in irreverent text and portrayals that any grade one pupil could copy and better. Basquiat would whirl out art without paying any attending or attention to the concluding merchandise. However it is a hard thing to turn out anti-art, because of the fact that art is so personal and separately interpreted. Basquiat: A Quick Killing in Art

Walt Disneys Tangled Essay Example For Students
Walt Disneys Tangled Essay Everything has a hidden meaning, whether it is books, movies, or cartoons. Yet the audiences only starts to recognize it while they sit back, and reflect on them. Disney studio movies are expressing their thoughts about culture, love, and reality to the audience, by creating their unique characters and presenting them. Taking in the media, people begin to internalize the themes presented. Each character has their own unique way to present their disguised ideas about culture and morals. Not all audiences have the same impression of one character. Rapunzel, the main character in, Tangled, delivers her culture in beauty. Rapunzel is introduced to the reality of adults, is confronted with its advantages. If we take a closer look at Rapunzel, her dress is her everyday attire. As we see in the movie, in the scenes in which she was born and placed in her crib, she was already wearing the dress. She continued to wear the dress consistently, even when she was at home, at her palace, and her wedding ceremony. We will write a custom essay on Walt Disneys Tangled specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now It is usual to see Rapunzel wearing dresses at all the time. In comparison to modern fashion, dresses are still quite popular among girls. Such trends from the past, have brought this culture and tradition of the way girls should dress, up to the next generation. Subsequently, another significant theme of beauty that she represents, is her shiny blonde golden hair. She has 70 foot long hair, which impresses most of the audience, especially younger audiences. Younger audiences also want to grow their hair long after watching the movie. The way she introduces her long hair, does not mean that girls must have a 70 foot long hair, instilled with magic, its just to recognize it. If she had normal length hair, just like any other Disney princess, then we would not acknowledge her hair. Although each woman has different length of her hair, having her hair to grow long is a signature of a beautiful woman. This beauty ideal hasnt changed in modern culture either. Another hidden message in her character, is stepping out of your comfort zone as we grow up. A scene in the beginning of the movie, Rapunzel wanted to leave the tower, to see the light that was always appearing on her birthday. With her curious mind, she asked Mother Gothel to let her go, but her mother did not want her to leave the tower. Instead, she filled Rapunzelââ¬â¢s mind with the false perception of how ugly and cruel the outside world is. Equivalent to real life, I have always lived and surrounded myself with people I knew, and grew up in the same neighborhood my whole life. I used to live in my own confined world, with my family and friends. However, everything started to change when I entered college. I needed to accept the challenges of getting out of my own little world in high school, and into the brand new world in college. Breaking out of your comfort zone can apply to anyone. More than just about entering college, and moving to the new neighborhood, this concept can also be applied to other actions such as changing jobs, and doing something else that we have never done before. Taking a closer look at the scene where Rapunzel was still inside the tower, she questioned about when will her life begin. After she reached the ground outside of the tower, she was overjoyed and expressed herself with the song while running around, and she said that is when her life began. As we can see beyond on these two scenes, her life started to change little by little such as found the truth about her identity, and her pure love on Eugene. New life events, help change your ways of thinking, and help you form new perceptions of the world. Everything has its own purpose, and meaning, which is why the maker creates them. .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 , .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .postImageUrl , .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 , .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:hover , .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:visited , .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:active { border:0!important; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:active , .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386 .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u2713edd773768612c8e6cb0ef7b75386:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Three Approaches to Psychotherapy III EssayWith the intention of making up such affairs, the author wants to present his or her thoughts to the audience. Disney movies also carry the veiled ideas within each character. In, Tangled, Rapuzel holds back plenty of thoughts that depend on each individuals perspective. From these messages the audience learns that beauty culture remains unchanged, and that getting out of your comfort zone is important. We may be living in darkness all our life, until we see the world with new perception; then we will better understand the world around us.

Presidential Primaries The 2003-2004 Democratic Primary Season is Over Almost before it began essays
Presidential Primaries The 2003-2004 Democratic Primary Season is Over Almost before it began essays The media both writes the story of presidential primaries, influencing outcomes, as well as, in reaction to surprises to the storyline' it has been telling, writes a new story, reeling from the aftermath of a surprise turn' in the primary road after Iowa or Super Tuesday. At first, Howard Dean was the supposed anointed king of the Democratic primary, chosen by young, hopeful anti-war Democrats in reaction to President Bush. However, when Dean's support proved lackluster in early and crucial primary races, Dean began to get more negative publicity, particularly in terms of his more irrational-seeming moments of raving on the stump. The media began to sound the death-knell of his campaign, right along with late night comics. Soon Senator John Kerry became the anointed son in Deans' stead, despite strong showings from Jonathan Edwards. The media admitted it was surprised at the latter's success. Electability, it stated, was key for Democrats this year, rather than ideological conformity. But this does not mean that the media necessarily functions as a purely reactive force. Edwards withdrew from the race after the media began to stress that all his continued action for his own campaign could do was to draw support away from Kerry and create further divisiveness within the Democratic fold. Races were read as make or break' races for Dean, and then for Edwards, respectively. When these candidates' support networks proved not to be immediately strong enough, they were forced to withdraw. The media writes either/or tales of success or failure for candidates. Thus, although the media does not necessarily write the whole story of presidential primaries, it seems to be able to considerably speed up the tale, making the nominee a given' far sooner in the process than was typical of less televised times. A candidate with less support might be less apt to withdraw s...

Community organization as public ministry Essay
Community organization as public ministry - Essay Example A lot of social injustices have been known to occur within the community.à This is mainly caused by those people who refuse to work within the fringes of the law and general principles that uphold the societal values.à For the community to be together, people must recognize that societal values should be encouraged and people brought under proximate grounds to heed these values. Communities that refuse to work together often fail to recognize the advantages these values. Like any other bodies formed to address matters, community organization is known to have both the advantageous and disadvantageous values.à The benefits of community organization include empowering the society by involving the people in a certain area to come together. This gives them the courage to address other injustice. When people come together in the society they have more strength to address a certain issue compared to people who do it individually. Community organization acts as a voice for the voice less in the society. Organizations have been known to develop to benefit the organization members, and other members of the society.à An organization may be developed to address the rights of the handicapped people. With this, they can fight for certain issues to be addressed these handicapped people are still considered as members of the society.Besides the above mentioned advantages, a person who joins a community organization can get the some benefits. One can widen his social and professional networks by meeting new people. Oneââ¬â¢s skills are set to grow by sharing their ability and the knowledge they have with others. When one joins a group, the main idea is to work to help other people. The disadvantages that may crop up in community organization are few but can be a major challenge in societal development. Community organizations have been known to bring up major conflict of interests. This can be seen in matters where some are for, while others are against a certain issue. A situation whereby people are for the legalization of abortion, and others are not, is a common example of this. Both of the organizations have good reasons but to bring them in level grounded reasoning is difficult. This often divides the society and weakens oneness. For unity to be achieved despite the presence of conflicting organizations, bodies and strategies that address their issues as the neutral party and foster understanding among them need to be adapted. It is only a society that supports one another that there could be mutual understanding and growth.7 Tools to harness social justice in churches Attaining social justice in a church can prove difficult if proper steps are not taken.
